AWM Controllable Pitch Propeller system

The AWM CP Propeller system is a complete solution existing of
CP propeller, hollow shaft, reversing mechanism, hydraulic power pack
and control-system. All components are carfully selected to work together
as a reliable propulsion unit.

Controllable Pitch Propeller

The propeller systems are used in fishing boats, motor yachts,
sailing yachts, passenger boats, tugs and other special boats.

The system can be delivered with shaft diameters from Ø 40 to Ø 130 mm.
Propellers will be custom designed.
All propeller-blades are machined by CNC machines ISO Class I and S.
The propeller pitch can be adjusted from sailing (sailingyacht)
position to design pitch, neutral and astern.

Advantages of the AWM CP propeller:

• Less drag in sailing position (sailing boats)
• Maximum thrust at all speeds by adjusting the pitch.
• It is possible to change the pitch at any speed / power condition.
• Improved manoeuvring, especially when going astern and at low speeds.
• The optimum loading for the engine can be obtained in all operational conditions.
• When using both sail- and engine power at the same time it is possible to change
the pitch to utilize the combination of both wind and engine to the max (sailing boats).
• Pitch setting does not alter when the system is not in use
(no constant adjusting of the pitch is needed)
• Reduced fuel consumption.

CPP control system

The control system is specially designed for
single and twin screw boats with AWM CP propeller systems.
To control both engine, gearbox and CP propeller.
All parts are highly reliable and designed according to the rules of most common classification societies.

The panels are equipped with
BUK-G control unit, pitch indicator and
buttons for the different operation modes.

• Motor mode

• Harbour mode

• Backup mode

All parameter (like maximum pitch or
high idle rpm) can be adjusted on
the panel of the control cabinet.

Remote adjustment:
Detailed adjustment can be done
through internet by service-desk.

Wireless control with possibility
of thrusters and rudder control.
